Seoul Plaza Proposal lives on in Urban Action Network's work

If you may have met me in 2014 or 2015, you may have known that I was working to try and transform an underutilized public space into one of downtown Seoul's newest hubs for activity and leisure. The ideas were outlined in a proposal called the Seoul Plaza Proposal, which launched in early 2015.

Just recently (Nov 2017), a NGO called the Urban Action Network (UAN) has been taking steps to implement solutions that bear a striking resemblance to those proposed in the Seoul Plaza Proposal. UAN is the NGO that formed the movement to petition the government to create Seoul Plaza in the first place.

UAN has recently hired part-timers in regards to management (poster below).

I sincerely hope the UAN is successful in their work and they are able to transform the space into a vibrant hub of activity on days when there aren't designated events planned. Based on your experience with Seoul Plaza, what do you think?
